Account Executive – Omaha – Industrial Security & Fire Systems

In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts in all lines of business, including service and installation solutions for new and/or existing customers. We sell and integrate large industrial Security and Fire systems for our clients. You will prospect and develop new client relationships within a defined geography and in line with identified priorities. You will develop and increase Key and National Account relationships to drive increased market share and sales opportunities. As an Account Executive, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as the company grows. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sells core business integrated solutions for service and installation projects. Evaluates and targets potential customer opportunities within the market place. Develops and implements sales marketing strategies to penetrate multiple vertical markets (e.g. education, health care, industrial and commercial buildings). Focuses on consultants, owners and building managers with the support of contractor business to develop new business clientele.
Account Growth & Expansion: Manage and expand sales within assigned key accounts by promoting a full range of integrated physical security solutions, cybersecurity offerings, service agreements, managed services, and strategic transformation initiatives. Goal: maximize long-term customer value, boost profitability, and protect against competitive risks.
Pipeline Generation: Engage directly with key decision-makers to evaluate needs, secure buy-in on the value proposition, highlight unique differentiators, and establish clear timelines for decisions. Target outcome: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline at a 3:1 ratio above quota.
Proposal Development: Lead cross-functional sales teams in building compelling, high-win-probability proposals. Target outcome: All proposals clearly articulate pricing, strong business justification, and the company’s distinct advantages.
Presentation & Deal Closure: Deliver proposals to stakeholders, effectively address concerns around schedule, cost, and competitors, and guide negotiations toward timely go/no-go outcomes.
Market Alignment: Proactively identify and develop opportunities tailored to designated industry verticals, including global enterprises, utilities, banking/finance, healthcare, data centers, federal/state/local government, and K-12/higher education.
Target outcome: Pipeline accurately mirrors activity across these assigned markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with technical designers, estimators, sales engineers, domain experts, project/program managers, and external allies to develop and deliver competitive proposals.
This is a direct hire position! This role is 20% field-based and 80% office-based. You will work in the office for the first 90 days for training, meeting the team, etc. This is a great opportunity with a wonderful team! Growth opportunities! REQUIRED SKILLS:
3+ years of account development, sales, or related experience
3+ years of experience in 1 of the following: commercial security, residential security, electronic, fire alarm & life safety (fire alarm, fire sprinklers, fire safety), and/or building automation (HVAC, cameras, access, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills
Desire to learn, understand, and apply solutions to the customer’s challenges
Ability to build customer confidence and cultivate business relationships
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Education: High School/GED or equivalent
Basic computer skills, MS Office, etc
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Associate’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
