Senior Software Engineer
Partner with business teams, vendors, and technical resources to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing modernization efforts across field applications and operational technology systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, maintain, and support Field Technology applications and integrations.
- Configure, develop, and support Ignition applications, dashboards, and system integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and integration issues.
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, and backend processes.
- Participate in application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support production deployments, upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
- Participate in incident response and operational support activities as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver technology solutions.
This is a 6-month contract position. This role is onsite, Monday – Friday in Alpharetta.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 4+ years of software development or application support experience.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation.
- Experience with one or more programming languages such as C#.
- Experience developing or supporting WEB APIs and system integrations.
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience supporting operational technology environments.
- Experience with MQTT and Ignition MQTT modules.
- Experience with IIS and web-based application hosting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
