Senior Software Engineer
 

Partner with business teams, vendors, and technical resources to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing modernization efforts across field applications and operational technology systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support Field Technology applications and integrations.
  • Configure, develop, and support Ignition applications, dashboards, and system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, and integration issues.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, services, and backend processes.
  • Participate in application modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support production deployments, upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and support materials.
  • Participate in incident response and operational support activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver technology solutions.

 

This is a 6-month contract position. This role is onsite, Monday – Friday in Alpharetta.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 4+ years of software development or application support experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as C#.
  • Experience developing or supporting WEB APIs and system integrations.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting operational technology environments.
  • Experience with MQTT and Ignition MQTT modules.
  • Experience with IIS and web-based application hosting.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, source control, and CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.
