Location: Morgan Falls, GA
Schedule: On-Site (10-Month Contract)
A global leader in consumer safety products is seeking a hands-on Sr. Tech Specialist for a 10-month contract. Operating with technical independence, this role drives dynamic impact simulation testing, lab operations, data integrity, and facility upgrades to support engineering, quality, and regulatory compliance teams.
Responsibilities

Execute dynamic sled and impact simulations, managing test setup, dummy (ATD) preparation, instrumentation, and product positioning.

Manage daily lab operations, preventive maintenance schedules, sensor calibrations, and system troubleshooting.

Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical fixtures using shop tools, basic machining, and electrical troubleshooting.

Validate collected data, compile clear reports, and advise engineers on test variables and setup tradeoffs.

Lead process improvements to increase test repeatability, throughput, and laboratory capabilities.
Requirements

2–4 years of experience in test lab, mechanical, or automotive evaluation environments.

Associate degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical/Electrical Technology, Automotive Technology, or Biomechanics.

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills (hand/shop tools, machining, soldering; welding a plus).

Knowledge of data acquisition concepts (sampling, triggering, channel checks).

Ability to comfortably lift 50 lbs.

Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
