Technical Project & Billing Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead technical workstreams for Groups & Events projects by tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies, while coordinating testing, integration, deployment, and status reporting across cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Execute end-to-end billing for assigned products and services, maintaining schedules, validating charges against commercial terms, and coordinating invoice requests.
  • Reconcile billing data across internal systems, vendors, and financial reports, maintaining accurate audit-ready records to support compliance and internal financial controls.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, exceptions, and open issues in collaboration with Finance and Collections, while serving as a key contact for stakeholder inquiries.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, workflow maps, and documentation while identifying opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve billing accuracy and scalability.

This is a 6+ month contract with a possibility to extend or convert to direct-hire.  Work a hybrid schedule in Atlanta, 3 days in office.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience managing technical workstreams across complex systems, dependencies, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Hands-on background in end-to-end billing, invoicing, financial reconciliations, and accounts receivable or commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to design standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and job aids while bringing structure to evolving processes.
  • Strong track record of analyzing financial data, investigating discrepancies, reconciling records, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills with proficiency in advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables), Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Background supporting SaaS, systems integration, testing/deployment, or technology product portfolios, with hospitality technology or Groups & Events experience
  • Experience transitioning manual billing into controlled, repeatable models, alongside knowledge of vendor invoicing, recurring fees, contract billing, dispute management, and financial controls.
  • Project management certification or equivalent practical experience, with proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Planview.
