Workday Payroll & HCM Lead

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Workday Payroll rollout.

  • Oversee configuration and ongoing support for Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Comp, Talent, Absence, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, and other modules as adopted.

  • Partner with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence to deliver scalable, data-driven HR solutions.

  • Translate business requirements into optimized system designs and enhancements.

  • Guide assessments, testing, and validation to ensure solutions meet business goals.

  • Manage feature deployments, configuration updates, and process improvements to keep systems aligned with evolving strategy.

  • Oversee Workday security roles, workflows, and configuration for compliance and efficiency.

  • Serve as the go-to resource for Workday questions, troubleshooting, and user support.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on implementation and optimization efforts.

  • Mentor and direct a small Workday team—balancing workloads, prioritizing initiatives, and fostering continuous improvement.

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with HR, IT, and business leaders.

This is a direct-hire, hybrid position based in North Atlanta (up to three remote days per week).

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years configuring and supporting Workday HCM.

  • 1+ years leading or supporting Workday Payroll implementations.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Deep knowledge of HR operations and HCM business processes.

  • Experience creating custom reports, calculated fields, and condition rules.

  • Hands-on familiarity with EIBs and basic integrations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communicator—able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
