Position Title: Senior Network Engineer 

Neighborhood:  Herndon, VA 

WFH Policy (current/future & return date): 3-4 days in office weekly, depending on data center needs

Project Details:  Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, access, and backup for enterprise-wide systems.

Team: 6+

Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise networks and related hardware/software.
  • Design, document and implement systems/network architecture.
  • Perform assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
  • Establishing security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters and provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
  • Test and tune security devices and systems.
  • Program routers and switches.
  • Implement communications technologies (data or voice).
  • Manage network services from planning phase through implementation.

This is a 3 month contract opportunity with the option to extend or convert at the end of the contract. Candidates can sit hybrid in Herndon, working 3-4 days/week onsite. Successful candidates have a high level of initiative and thrive in a fast paced, enterprise environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure are required.
  • Must have 6+ years of prior experience with networking technologies.
  • Palo Alto, F5 and Arista experience are key- will consider combination of these skills.
