Cybersecurity Engineer
Immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a top-notch company experiencing rapid growth!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage & Optimize Platforms: Deploy and maintain enterprise security tools including EDR, network security, and identity platforms.
- Vulnerability & Patch Ownership: Partner with IT to identify, risk-rank, and remediate vulnerabilities; implement compensating controls when patching isn’t feasible.
- Security Standards: Execute system hardening, secure configuration baselines, and access lifecycle management.
- Endpoint Protection: Support device controls (whitelisting, USB/peripheral) and troubleshoot security issues affecting business operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a technical partner to Infrastructure and App teams to integrate security into projects and incident response.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify control gaps, recommend tooling upgrades, and reduce technical debt by retiring legacy systems.
This is a 6+ month contract position in Atlanta. Work 100% remote. If based in Atlanta, enjoy a hybrid schedule.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Endpoint Security, or Infrastructure Security.
- Proven experience administering enterprise security tools (EDR, Vulnerability Management, Identity, or Network Security platforms).
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows endpoint security and device control.
- Deep understanding of vulnerability management life cycles and patching processes.
- Expertise in secure system configuration and access controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across security and IT domains.
- Experience collaborating directly with Infrastructure and Application teams in an enterprise environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Enterprise endpoint protection/EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, SenintelOne)
- Zero Trust or cloud security concepts
- Security+, CEH, CISSP
