Oracle Database Administrator

Exciting opportunity for a Database Administrator to own the reliability, security, performance, and availability of enterprise databases across development, test, production, and disaster recovery environments. This role partners with application, infrastructure, and security teams to design, support, and enhance scalable, highly available database solutions.

Responsibilities:
Ensure integrity, availability, and performance of Oracle and SQL Server databases. Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery processes, including annual DR exercises. Monitor database health, perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and root-cause analysis. Troubleshoot production issues and support application initiatives with architectural guidance. Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and migrations while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Develop automation scripts, manage support cases, and participate in an on-call rotation (primary every 3rd week).

Details:
Direct-hire in Atlanta; hybrid schedule (WFH Tues/Fri). When primary on call, work remotely that week. Competitive benefits, PTO, flexible schedule, strong culture.

Requirements:
6–8+ years Oracle DBA experience in production; lead/go-to DBA background preferred. Strong performance tuning, UNIX/Linux, Exadata, Windows Server, and SQL Server administration experience. Expertise in HA/DR, database design, and patch/upgrade execution. Strong communication skills; exposure to MongoDB required. Must work on-call rotation.

Preferred:
RAC, Active Data Guard, CDB/PDB; MySQL/PostgreSQL; SSAS/SSIS; shell scripting; cloud (OCI/AWS/Azure); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
