This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career with an industry leader. Our client is seeking a high-achieving Quote Specialist to join their dynamic, collaborative team.

In this role, you will support the organization by reviewing building material lists and transforming them into accurate, final price quotes for customers

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Reading Blueprints –   ability to look at complex architectural and structural drawings and completely understand what the project needs.
  • Estimating Experience – experience in figuring out project costs, ideally using industry software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Construction Knowledge –  understanding of how buildings go together, what materials are used, and how they are categorized.
  • Problem-Solving: – catch missing information or mistakes in the blueprints, calculate material waste, and ask the right questions to ensure the quote is 100% accurate

This is a 6-month contract opportunity in the Vancouver area with the possibility of extension or direct hire. You will be working on-site in this role. If you do a great job, you can apply to an internal positions throughout the company at the end of the contract period. REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience in generating quotes for customers
  • Experience utilizing professional estimation software – Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff
  • Advanced ability to read, analyze, and cross-reference complex architectural and structural drawings (blueprints) to accurately determine project scope and requirements
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, building assemblies, material specifications, and industry classification systems to ensure all components are correctly identified, categorized, and quoted
  • Experience in independently identifying discrepancies or missing information in plans, adjusting material waste factors, and draft necessary RFIs (Requests for Information) to ensure complete quote accuracy
  • Experience in Excel – Vlookups, Data Entry
  • Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency and follow tasks through to completion.
